GKMT has an executive committee team working centrally in Kathmandu. GKMT operates its services regionally in Chitwan by obtaining authority from the local government. A small sized coordination committee with volunteers was formed to run activities in Chitwan with the representation of a central committee member in a small rented room near BPKMCH for contact purpose, where it could easily execute its support activity to the people who are under treatment of different cancers.
HOW IT IS FUNDED
Endowment fund
Patron of Garima Kandel Memorial Trust (GKMT) Mr. Gangaram Kandel and Mrs ChandraKala Niraula Kandel established a fixed deposit of 2 millions rupees ( Approximately €19,000) . Interest generated from this fixed deposit have been utilized in implementing the above mention charity works. Apart from this sum, donation from friends, relatives and charity lunch event also raised the funds.
POSSIBLE FUNDING SOURCES
1. Fundraising
GKMT hopes to receive individual, or group teams to fundraise for the trust.
GKMT also organises fundraising events such as charity lunches, charity coffee mornings, charity runs etc
2. Corporate Support
GKMT , in future, will work with many companies and institutions who are prospective to help us. You can nominate GKMT AS YOUR CHARITY ORGANISATION . GKMT would be delighted to work in developing a programme of events as your company of the regular sponsor.
3. In Memoriam
Would you consider supporing us in memory of your loved one who has passed on? We would definitely welcome your generosity. You can honour their memory by offering a donation to us.
